Is Shine safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Ugg, I really don’t like questions around the safety of a product while pregnant and breastfeeding because you are essentially asking us if there is any risk whatsoever.

How can we know for sure if the ingredients in Shine are going to agree to your system or not?

Here’s what you need to know.  There is a tiny bit of menthol in Shine and menthol is a volatile organic from the mint family of plants.  It is suggested to avoid mints as mint could disrupt a pregnancy and lower milk production.

Shine also has minute amounts of many trace elements, some of them, heavy metals.

With all this out in the open, if we had a family member that was pregnant or breastfeeding, I would wholeheartedly offer them Shine to use.  I hope that this shares our level of transparency and helps you navigate this precious time in your life.

You can read more about our take on the trace elements in Shine here.

Ultimately, we suggest you ask for Guidance regarding this possibility.  Also, it would be wise to check with your midwife too.

And last, thank you for engaging in what we consider the most important ‘job’ on the planet.  Consciously caring for our future generations has been culturally minimized for far too long.  Once we as a culture put childcare back into the center of cultural importance, only then will we see some of the modern craziness diminish.  Care for your young ones.  Cherish the time!
