Once we understand gum disease,
the way to stop its destruction becomes clear.
In the mouth, the damage of gum disease is caused by certain types of microscopic disease causing bacteria. We call these disease causing bacteria “bad bugs” because they destroy living tissue in our mouths!
These images on the left are microscope photos of gum disease causing bacteria (bad bugs).
As gruesome as it sounds, the mission of these bad bugs is to invade, colonize and devour gum and bone tissue in the mouth.
It's hard to imagine, but these microscopic bad bugs above cause the damage we know as gum disease on the right! AND they are also very involved with other diseases including diabetes, heart disease and cancer!

Gum disease, also called periodontal disease and periodontitis, is so common that you are not likely to recognize its signs in the early stages and most dentists don’t bother to diagnose or treat it at that time.
Common signs of gum problems range depending on how long the disease has been able to develop unchecked.
Which sign best describes what you have experienced?

"I'm a mother of two and a third on the way. Since giving birth and nursing, my teeth have suffered quite a bit I feel super blessed to have stumbled across your website. Thanks for sending me this amazing stuff called the Healthy Mouth blend and the toothbrushes.
I was so excited to use them on my teeth as well as those of my very young developing children! It was amazingly effective at removing plaque buildup at the gum lines and seriously I've never felt my teeth so clean and fresh after just brushing.
I was even more excited when my biological dentist told me he used the same stuff, how cool! I'm ready to order more brushes and the ora blend for my family and an extra to keep in my purse. God Bless you all."
