Food grade simply means that the oils used to make the Brushing Blend are of a quality that is considered safe to use in food according to the Food and Drug Association. It is possible that other Brushing Blends are not made from food grade oils.

This is a very good question. The Brushing Blend is helpful in killing the bacteria that cause gum disease and tooth decay for all. Therefore, everyone can use the Brushing Blend. The HealThy Mouth System is only necessary if you know you have gum pockets greater than 4 millimeters. Therefore, if you have been diagnosed with periodontal disease or have signs of periodontal disease like receding gums or loose teeth then the HealThy Mouth System will prove very effective in killing the bad bacteria in the deep pockets.

If you like the habit of toothpaste you can use the Brushing Blend with your favorite toothpaste.

That depends on how many drops you use with each brushing. Generally, one bottle will last 2-3 months if one person is brushing with it twice each day.

First, since the plants that make the oils in the Brushing Blend were grown organically, there is no chance that there is any pesticide residue in the Brushing Blend.  Non-organic plants commonly contain pesticide residues from being grown with pesticides.

Second, since organic plants are grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, they have higher nutritional content in them.  That means that the oils that are used to make the Brushing Blend are stronger and otherwise superior quality to the same plants grown without using organic standards.

We encourage 4 ways to use our product.  Each of the techniques below addresses the bad bugs in different ways and areas in the mouth to create maximal oral health.

1.  Put 2-4 drops of Brushing Blend on your toothbrush in place of toothpaste. If you like the habit of toothpaste you can use the Brushing Blend with your favorite toothpaste.

2.  Scrape the tongue with a tongue scraper then put a drop of OraWellness on a brush and brush the back of the tongue.

3. Place a drop of OraWellness between your index finger and thumb and run a piece of floss through the oil.  Then floss as usual to get the restoring ability of OraWellness down between the teeth especially between the molars where gum disease is most common!

4.  Place a drop of OraWellness into an ounce of water and swish for 30 seconds.  Be sure to swish between the teeth also!

We formulated the Brushing Blend to be energetically balanced. Cinnamon and clove are warming oils. Peppermint and spearmint are cooling oils. So, used together they will not imbalance the body over time. Many other Brushing Blends on the market only use cooling oils and could cause imbalance in the body over time.

Since we use cinnamon/clove and the mints together they kind of cancel out one another. So, the Brushing Blend tastes slightly minty with cinnamon under it. The main sensation we hear is the Brushing Blend leaves the mouth feeling tingly, clean, fresh and very alive!
